Early Life of Derek Bieri
One blog lists his birthplace as Minot, North Dakota. Another says he lived near Minneapolis, Minnesota, for years. His parents and school details are not publicly confirmed.
One headline says he went from auto technician to corporate worker to YouTuber. I could not open a full interview, so I treat that path as reported, not proven.

Derek Bieri Age
One page gives his birth date as May 16, 1984, which would make him 42 in October 2026. Another says he turned 40 in 2024, which matches that year. Neither is an official source, so treat the age as approximate.
Derek Bieri Height and Weight
Several pages say Derek Bieri is about 183 cm, or 6 feet tall. A wiki style page also lists him at 6 feet.
| Measurement | Reported figure |
| Height in feet | About 6 ft |
| Height in cm | About 183 cm |

No official source confirms these numbers, and one wiki page says his exact height is not widely shared. Weight is not public, so any exact figure is a guess.
What Happened to Derek Bieri?
Nothing credible suggests a major crisis. Titles that promise a “shocking update” are often clickbait. The one real change is that his shop moved to Tennessee, which is covered below.
If he has news to share, he usually posts it on his own channel.
Derek Bieri Accident
I found no reliable report of a serious accident involving Derek Bieri. Car restoration work has risks, such as heavy parts and tools. That does not mean an accident happened.
Derek Bieri Injury
I found no confirmed report of a major injury. Do not trust pages that give details without a date, a video or a news source.
What Does Derek Bieri Do for a Living?
Derek Bieri works as a YouTuber, TV host and car builder.
| Role | Details |
| Vice Grip Garage | He buys old cars and trucks, repairs them and drives them home |
| Roadworthy Rescues | A MotorTrend series with a similar rescue style |

Derek Bieri Military Service
This is where the sources disagree most. Some pages call him a former military member. One page says he joined the British Army in 1975 at age 18, which cannot be true if he was born in 1984.
I could not find a reliable record, such as a service document or a direct statement from him in a major interview. For that reason, treat his military service as unconfirmed.
Derek Bieri Military Rank
No verified rank, branch or years of service exist in the sources I found. Do not repeat a rank without a primary source. If he has shared this on his channel, a quote with the video link is the best proof.
Derek Bieri Wife and Sons
Derek Bieri’s wife is reported as Jessica Bieri. She appears in some Vice Grip Garage content. Several pages say the couple has sons, but no source gives a clear number or names.
Respect their privacy. Children of online creators deserve the same care as anyone else.

Derek Bieri Brother
I found no credible information about a brother. Pages that name one do not cite a source. Until Derek or a major outlet shares details, this should stay unconfirmed.
Derek Bieri Net Worth
Most pages put his net worth at about $5 million. One page says his earnings are in the six figures. None gives a source.
A different page lists “Derek Vice Grip Garage” with a $20 million channel value and a garage in California. It looks unrelated and wrong, so ignore it.
Derek Bieri Income Sources (Estimated)
These are the likely areas based on his public work:
| Source | Why it likely matters |
| YouTube ads | A large channel earns from views |
| Sponsorships | Automotive brands pay for reach |
| TV work | Roadworthy Rescues may bring fees |
| Merchandise | Branded products sell to fans |
| Car sales and projects | Rebuilt vehicles can be resold |
None of these amounts is public. Treat any exact income number as a guess.
Derek Bieri Tennessee Property
Several pages say his shop and family moved from Minnesota and Wisconsin to Lewisburg, Tennessee. A film database also says the channel’s cars are driven back to a shop in Tennessee.
I am not sharing a street address. A working shop is a business, and fans should check his official channels for any public visit days.
| Timeline | Reported base |
| Earlier years | Minnesota and Wisconsin |
| Now | Lewisburg, Tennessee |
